Hello all. The holidays are almost upon us, and a thick (I mean 3 inch thick!) sheet of ice is on the roads and sidewalks. Unemployment, a common concern this season, makes this a bittersweet time for some.
At least ten times a day, I am confronted at the Reference desk with a job seeker who isn't very familiar with computers and online job searches. Meeting someone in this situation breaks my heart each time, but I have seen some amazing success stories too--- individuals who triumph by learning what it takes and getting their resumes in there. We want to do everything we can to make these triumphs possible.
Here is a list of sites to start your job search at. We have this list on paper at the desk, and we hope to find a permanent place for this list (with live links!) on our web site soon.
